One of the wildcards in the BBNaija Shine Ya Eye house, Pere, has continued to keep his true identity away from others.

The U.S.-trained Nurse has a firm bite on the prize money and not letting anything get on

his way.

Interestingly, a number of the housemates trust him so much that they keep opening up about their suspicions and he is even helping them search for the wildcards.

At different times, Pere maintains his cool and looks at other housemates straight in the eye, and nods away in agreement.

On Thursday night, during his Diary Session, Pere guessed that Maria or Nini could be the second wildcard because their Dairy Sessions preceded and followed his respectively.

Pere was able to make a simple guess because of the tricky hint that Biggie gave the Housemates who had been begging for a clue.

Pere comforted Maria who was a ball of nerves while the housemates were on the hunt for the wildcard.

‘Don’t worry, the lion will protect the cub,’ were his words to her, insinuating that he had it under control.

A game of charades descended into chaos on Wednesday night, July 28 after Liquorose and Angel got into a heated argument.

The housemates gathered to play a round of charades as they unwinded when things got heated between Liquorose and Angel.

Angel had to be restrained physically by Arin and Whitemoney at some point during the exchange as she attempted to have a go at Liquorose.

Liquorose did not take things lying down either and gave as much as she received from her fellow housemate.

Later, Maria and Liquorose went to the bedroom where Angel was, to try and squash the beef, but the move turned chaotic again. Another argument erupted, leaving Maria pleading with the two to not make the game personal.

While housemates were yet to get over Angel and Liquorose confrontation, an upset Arin expressed her feelings about Maria accusing her team of cheating.

“Maria is an instigator,” Arin said.

Arin and Head of House Peace then accompanied Liquorose to Angel’s room where the ladies hashed out their differences. After a brief chat, the two hugged it out and apologised to each other.

Twenty-six-year-old fashion entrepreneur Peace has emerged the first Head of the BBNaija Shine Ya Eye edition House.

Peace emerged after all the Housemates gathered at the arena for the ‘Head of House’ game on the first official day of the game.

As requested by Biggie, Peace chose Yousef to be her deputy.

It was a game of dice rolling and boxes with instructions to determine the first HoH in the BBNaija Lockdown edition.

All the 22 housemates took turns in throwing the dice and participated in the game at the kick-off.

Peace eventually won the game.

With this development, Peace heads the House into the first week’s task and activities.

Earlier in their first official day in the BBNaija house, Biggie reminded the 22 Housemates that they’re in competition with the launch of the first Head of House challenge in the season.

Biggie gave unrestricted visits from housemates to the Head of House lounge but no sleeping over.

As usual, the Head of House (HoH) title comes with some extra privileges. Peace gets to sit on the throne-like HoH chair, gets information directly from Big Brother and reads out the day’s task to the other housemates.

In the previous editions, Heads of House would get a tastefully designed room to themselves.

This privilege was one of the reasons the HoH challenge is usually hotly contested for.

Organisers of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality show appear to have complied with Federal Government’s Twitter ban, checks by The Nation have shown.

The Nation reports on June 4, the Federal Government suspended the operations of Twitter in Nigeria, accusing the microblogging site of undermining national existence.

During the opening show on Saturday night monitored by The Nation, the host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, only read comments from the reality show official Facebook page.

The reality show, which premiered on Saturday night, continues tomorrow.

Checks by The Nation also revealed that the official Twitter page of the reality show (@BBNaija) last tweeted on June 3.

But many BBNaija fans on Saturday night, using Virtual Private Network (VPN) applications to bypass restrictions to Twitter, trended various BBNaija hashtags and their favourite Housemates.

This year’s edition of BBNaija will run for 72 days and ends on October 3, 2021.

The Nation reports the organisers had disclosed that there will be no SMS voting for this season.

But fans will be able to vote for their favourite Housemates for free on BBNaija’s official website and mobile app as well as on the MyDStv and MyGOtv apps.

Ebele Iyiegbu, wife of popular business mogul Obi Cubana, has debunked reports her husband’s wealth was acquired through diabolical means.

The socialite has remained on the lips of many after the lavish displays during his mum’s funeral, which has been described a carnival.

The mind-blowing burial was characterised by spraying of local and foreign currencies.

This led some to insinuate he probably has been involved in some form of diabolical acts to get money or even crime.

But the mother of four said people should quit hating and begin celebrating the grace upon her husband as juju or crime could never have done all these beautiful things for them.

The event planner further advised people to properly sieve information they are fed on social media.

She wrote;“If GRACE is a person, it is Obinna Iyiegbu.

“Am still trying to figure out what happened last weekend…but all I can see is GRACE!!!

“My brother, no be juju. no be crime. It’s just GRACE! The man is grace personified.

“Don’t get it twisted. Stop the hate & celebrate God’s grace upon his chosen one. What you celebrate is what you attract.

“Like he said, WORK HARD! Whom God has blessed…

“NB: pls don’t believe everything you read on social media.”

Adele Exarchopoulos walked the carpet in two different looks this year at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival!

The 27-year-old French actress had two movies that premiered during the festival and she walked the carpet on both Saturday (July 10) and Monday (July 12) in Cannes, France.

Adele‘s two movies this year are Zero F–ks Given and The Stronghold. For those who don’t know, she made history at the festival eight years ago when her movie Blue is the Warmest Color premiered in 2013. She and co-star Lea Seydoux became the first actors to ever receive the Palme D’or, the top award at the festival that is usually awarded to just a film’s director.

“I have strong memories of Cannes. But what’s funny is that for Blue Is the Warmest Color, I didn’t really realize what was happening. I didn’t know publicity, I didn’t know what was meaningful or not, so everything was quite exciting. I didn’t even know that we got a Palme d’Or each!” she told THR at this year’s festival.

She continued, “I remember at around 4 a.m. after a party with my friends, one of them said, ‘Wow, did you know that it’s the first time ever and probably the last time that the Palme will go to an actor,’ and I was like, no! So for me Cannes really is the beginning of everything, but at the same time I’ve had both Cannes experiences. I went with Blue Is the Warmest Color and it was a huge success, and everyone was like ‘oh, it’s incredible,’ and then I went with the Sean Penn movie (The Last Face) and it was really hard. Cannes can really destroy you or build you up. There is obviously good, constructive criticism, but then there’s often [some] that seems quite unfair. There’s a lot of noise!

Lea Seydoux has four movies at the festival this year and there’s some bad news.

FYI: The first dress is by Fendi. The second look is by Louis Vuitton.

Morgan Freeman delivered a damning critique of anti-vaccine campaigners on Tuesday and urged people to “go get the freakin’” coronavirus vaccine.

“The only wishes I have is those people who are refusing to take these dadgum shots would change their minds and realize this is one of those things we really have to do,” the movie star said on Tuesday’s episode of “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah.”

“I don’t understand, to tell you the truth, anyone who has some issues with the idea of being vaccinated against this scourge, you know?” the actor continued. “The facts are in. We know that all those dead people are dead and why they’re dead.”

“But if you don’t, it’s really up to you,” Freeman added. “Except that now I have to avoid you. And I will, of course.”

Freeman earlier this week became the latest celebrity to appear in a public service announcement encouraging uptake of the COVID-19 shot.

“I’m not a doctor, but I trust science. And I’m told that, for some reason, people trust me. So here I am to say I trust science and I got the vaccine,” Freeman said in the spot, released by the nonprofit arts advocacy group The Creative Coalition.

“If you trust me, you’ll get the vaccine,” he added, urging people to “help make our world a safe place for us to enjoy ourselves again. Please.”

Bhad Bhabie has claimed that she’s earned over $1million (£723,000) in her first six hours on OnlyFans.

The online subscription service, which has become synonymous with explicit content, allows independent creators to produce content hidden behind a paywall.

Bhad Bhabie is charging $23.99 per month (£17.35) for access to photos and videos on her OnlyFans page, with subscribers also promised the opportunity to “direct message with this user.”

In a new Instagram post on Thursday (April 1), the rapper shared a photo appearing to show her total earnings from the six-hour period, including $757,526.08 from subscriptions, $267,675 from DM payments and $5,000 in tips.

“Not bad for 6 hours,” she wrote. “We broke the fuck out of that onlyfans record.” A spokesperson for OnlyFans has since confirmed to Varietythat Bhad Bhabie’s claims are legitimate.

Last year, Bhad Babie entered rehab to seek treatment for mental health and substance abuse issues.

The rapper (real name Danielle Bregoli) underwent treatment for a “combination of things”, including childhood trauma and substance abuse. In a statement issued to TMZ at the time, her management team said: “We are very proud of Danielle for recognising that she needed help and seeking it out.”

Meanwhile, OnlyFans launched a new creative prize fund to help emerging artists last month.

The fund will give a £20,000 grant to four individual artists, who will be selected by a voting panel, featuring OnlyFans CEO Tim Stokely and UK rapper Stefflon Don. Other judges include actor Suki Waterhouse and designer Henry Holland.

Other artists to join the platform include Cardi B, who partnered with the online subscription platform last year “to release behind-the-scenes content, address ongoing rumours and connect closer with [her] fans.”
