Jude Ojeogwu, a man who claims to be the biological father of Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels has broken silence as denounced her daughter’s wedding to Ned Nwoko, a billionaire.
Ojeogwu, on his Facebook wall said Regina’s full name is Regina Daniel Ojeogwu, saying that whatever was ongoing between her daughter and Nwoko was not to his knowledge.
He said Regina’s mother, Rita was threading on a dangerous path and hoped she would retrace her steps.
He wrote: “Regina Daniel Ojeogwu is my biological daughter. What ever is ongoing is not to my knowledge and without my consent. The fact speaks for itself looking at the picture. Her mother Rita Daniels is threading on a dangerous path and I hope she will retrace her steps.
“Even the initiation ceremony into otu odu appears completely strange to Regina Daniel Ojeogwu. Regina is from ogwashi uku and not from olor as being rumoured. All the opportunities for Mr Ned Nwoko to discuss with me proved abortive not realising that we once lived in the same house in Awoyokun Street, Onikpan, Lagos.
“The implication of all this is that she impregnated herself. The name Regina was my late mother’s name. I have tried to exercise restraint but Regina’s mother kept pushing me to the wall. I am alive and not dead. If in doubt of this post call Barrister Jude Ojeogwu on 08033039058,” he said.

Malam Garba Madami, Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Kwara on Monday said that he resisted money offered by politicians to compromise the just concluded 2019 general elections in the state.
Madami, who hails from Gurara Local Government Area, of the state made this known to newsmen after his daughter’s wedding in Minna.
“There was pressure by politicians who offered me money to compromise the 2019 general elections in Kwara state but I stood my ground and refused to give in.
“The nature of our job at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is too tempting.
“It is left between you and God to do the right thing and keep your integrity or compromise and lose your integrity. You may even go to jail,” he said.
He decried money politics and a situation where politicians think they can buy peoples conscience to do their dirty work.
“The politicians have money and some of them feel that they can buy anybody with the money.
“It is a matter of integrity, it is left for you to be careful and work transparently to keep your integrity.
“What I did in Kwara state before the elections was to go on air and tell the people that no amount of money can buy me.
“I made them to understand that their votes will count and was not ready to compromise,” he said.
The REC however said that the 765 cases before the elections petition tribunal across the country owed to lack of internal democracy by political parties.
“If the various political parties respect their constitutions and do the needful you will have less to worry about,” he said.
He said that INEC was the most organised agency in the country because all the systems are working.
“All the personnel and departments are functioning, in other words INEC is working,” he said.
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has confirmed MTN Nigeria’s application for listing on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).
SEC’s Head, Corporate Communications, Mrs. Efe Ebelo, who confirmed this yesterday, said that the company’s application was presently receiving attention.
She said: “SEC can confirm that we are in receipt of an application from MTN requesting for registration of their existing securities.
“They have applied for listing by introduction which will enable the company to be listed and allow shareholders sell their shares on the floor of the exchange.”
The Exchange Acting Executive Commissioner, Corporate Services, Henry Rowlands, had earlier told the reporters in Lagos that the commission was committed to work with MTN Nigeria.
He said: “SEC is committed to work with them, when they list by way of introduction naturally it will translate to public offering by and large.
“It’s better that they come to the market even if it’s by way of introduction because it will encourage other service providers to access the market.”
The telecoms company recently changed its status from a private company to a Public Liability Company (PLC) ahead of its listing on the exchange.
The conversion is one of the requirements for listing on the Exchange.
The company had previously announced that it looked to list on the NSE before July, unveiling plans to enter the market by way of listing by introduction.
Speaking on the conversion, Fredi Moolman, MTN Chief Executive Officer, said the listing was part of its commitment to localisation in the Nigerian.
Moolman: “Our conversion to a Plc is a major step towards listing by introduction on the Nigerian Stock Exchange in the first half of 2019.
“It is a reaffirmation of our long-term commitment to expanding investment opportunities for Nigerians, in addition to providing everyday services to them.
“We look forward to continuing our engagement with the SEC and NSE to take forward the listing process.”
Listing on the NSE was one of the conditions reached in the resolution of a N330 billion fine placed on the company by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) for its inability to disconnect improperly registered SIM cards.
In a historic first, the 2019 winners of America’s three biggest beauty pageants are all black women.
Nia Franklin, 25, became Miss America in September, followed last week by Kaliegh Garris, 18, as Miss Teen USA and Cheslie Kryst, 28, as Miss USA.
The wins are particularly meaningful given the competitions’ decades-long history of racism and bias.
Vanessa Williams was the first black woman to win a top pageant in 1983.
After Ms Williams was crowned Miss America, it took until 1990 for another black woman to win a major pageant.
“Mine is the first generation to have that forward-looking mindset that has inclusivity, diversity, strength and empowered women,” Ms Kryst said in her acceptance speech on Thursday.
Ms Kryst is a civil litigation lawyer from North Carolina who also works pro-bono to reduce unfair sentences for prisoners. She will now represent the US in the Miss Universe pageant.
The reigning Miss America, Ms Franklin, is an opera singer who also works with the Sing for Hope charity to promote accessibility of the arts and social change.
Teen winner Ms Garris and Ms Kryst have both also been praised for opting to wear their natural hair in the pageants.
2020 presidential hopeful Senator Kamala Harris, whose father is Jamaican, shared her support on Instagram, saying: “What a tremendous moment for these young, successful women making their own path, on their own terms.”
Miss America, the oldest of the top three pageants, was created in 1921. Miss USA began in 1950 and Miss Teen USA in 1983.
Until the 1940s, Miss America barred women not of “the white race” from participating. Despite later changes to the rules, a black woman did not participate in Miss America until 1970.
In 1968, black women held the first Miss Black America pageant to protest racist standards.
More recently, in the wake of the #MeToo movement, these pageants have continued to change, with many contestants pushing for diversity and women’s empowerment over beauty alone.
The Tottenham Hotspur trio has struck the right chord in the attacking third this season…
Down by a goal from the first leg at home and given Ajax’s terrific scoring record – they have never fired blanks at home this season – it is imperative that Spurs find a way to breach the opposition’s defence.
In Harry Kane’s absence, the scoring duty will be shared by the triumvirate of Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli & Son Heung-min who have been delightful to watch all season.
The trio contributes greatly to how Spurs set up to play and are game-changers individually as well.
Son has scored four goals in his last four games in the Champions League and having missed the first leg, he will be raring to get back amongst the scorers.
Watch their best plays here:
According to Euro United (via GFFN), Everton were among a myriad of clubs present at the Ligue 1 game between Lyon and Lille on Sunday night, with Director of Football Marcel Brands and Head of European Recruitment Gretar Steinsson said to be scouting Lyon duo Lucas Tousart and Memphis Depay.
With Senegalese defensive midfielder Idrissa Gueye – a January target of Paris Saint-Germain – likely to leave Goodison Park this summer, the Merseyside outfit are scouring Europe for a replacement, and it’s not a suprise that they are looking at Tousart.
Unfortunately for the Everton chiefs, the 22-year-old midfielder wasn’t involved in last night’s action, but they saw plenty of Depay – who played all 90 minutes.
The former Manchester United flop, once famously compared to Cristiano Ronaldo, assisted Lyon’s first goal in the 2-2 draw, taking up his tally to nine assists and eight goals in 33 Ligue 1 appearances this term.
Brands knows the 25-year-old so well having watched him grow up at PSV Eindhoven, but it remains to be seen if Everton have a keen interest in him ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Toffees are looking to break into the English top six going forward, and manager Marco Silva will have to make more quality additions this summer.
Tousart and Depay both look capable of improving the club, and it will be interesting to see if a move is made for both or either of them.
